About Weybridge

Weybridge, located in Surrey on the banks of the River Wey and close to the Thames, is an attractive town known for its leafy surroundings, waterside views, and strong links to motoring and aviation history. It offers a relaxed yet upmarket feel, with plenty to explore both outdoors and indoors.

One of the area’s most famous attractions is Brooklands Museum. Built on the site of the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit, the museum celebrates the town’s pioneering role in motorsport and aviation. Visitors can see historic racing cars, aircraft including Concorde, and learn about the engineering achievements that put Brooklands on the map.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, the rivers are a key part of Weybridge’s appeal. Walks along the River Wey Navigation offer peaceful towpaths lined with narrowboats, wildlife, and scenic views. It’s a lovely setting for walking, cycling, or simply relaxing by the water.

Nature lovers can also explore Painshill, just a short drive away. This 18th-century landscaped garden features lakes, follies, and woodland trails, making it a beautiful place for a day out.

Weybridge High Street and nearby Queens Road provide a good mix of independent boutiques, cafés, and restaurants, alongside well-known brands. The town has a reputation for being well-kept and community-focused, with green spaces such as Churchfields Recreation Ground offering open areas for families and dog walkers.

With its combination of historic significance, riverside charm, and easy access to London, Weybridge offers a pleasant balance of countryside tranquillity and modern convenience.
